Yesterday was a very difficult day. I didn't eat anything bad, but I sure wanted to. Holy and the kids were eating big bowls of chili and me well... let's just say I didn't eat any chili, although it is one of my favorite meals when it is "cold" outside. I had instead a nice big cup of water. This is something do every month. I don't eat "normally" for several days in a row. This month it is 4 days and eventually I will work my way up to the first 7 days of a month. At the beginning of the year I go on the "special diet" for 40 days. This helps me with discipline and gives me time to focus on things more important than food. It is the first day that is the most difficult for me. I usually get a headache. Then when the family eats a meal I REALLY have to fight the temptation to give in to my flesh and eat. Yesterday was my first day and boy did that chili smell good! We are having my parents over Tuesday and I will be done with this "diet". I am planning on making some chili! I would however like to try something new so I am looking for a new recipe for chili. If you have one I would LOVE to hear from you!!
UPDATE!!!!
I stayed the same weight wise. I am fully anticipating weight loss today when I step on the scale. I need to lose 9 pounds to reach my goal this week. I still think it is possible. We will see.
