The BIG Weigh-In Month 4 Week 4

Proverbs 27:17 - "Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend."

Well... I didn't reach my goal. I did manage a gain though. The details are below. Beginning next Monday I will plan on writing on my blog Mon.-Fri. again. I will post weigh ins on Monday still, however I will be adding my measurements as well, and I will be posting a weekly "trivia"/ tidbit about food, weight loss, etc. I am looking forward to 2011. I truly plan on losing a lot of weight this year. My dad told me of someone who asked him how my War on Weight is going. This is exciting to know that people are actually reading my posts, it greatly encourages me, and as always I am open to comments, ideas, suggestion, and questions.

The BIG Weigh-In Month 4 Week 3

Proverbs 27:17 - "Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend."
What a WEEK! This past Tuesday we had our staff party for all the ministries that are under the leadership of Pastor Fred Allred. We ate at a very nice restaurant. I went crazy! I ordered.... are you ready?... Fried onions for my appetizer.... and a 16 oz., yes it's called "The Pounder", steak with baked potato and salad... then dessert...I had a chocolate cake with fudge poured all over it and ice cream. Needless to say I gained weight that night! I had to work the rest of the week just to work that off. By Saturday I was close to being down to the weight where I started. Sunday morning's weigh was VERY encouraging, I lost 4 lbs. on Saturday! I was a little less than 2 pounds from reaching my goal for this week! I was pumped. Then came lunch and We ate out and KFC! Not a good choice. Then supper time and, yes we went out to McDonald's, again a VERY bad choice. I did not exercise either. So I woke up this morning and here is my chart for this month and week...

This is Christmas week! How will I reach my goal! Here's my plan... It is wrapped up in one word, which also happens to be my only New Years resolution. This word, if able to be accomplished will solve MANY of my problems. The word is DISCIPLINE!! I will make good CONSCIENCE decisions.

The BIG Weigh-In Month 4 Week 2

Proverbs 27:17 - "Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend."
O.K. I started out good this past week. I lost some weight. Then Wednesday came and all of a sudden I had gain 1 pound. By Friday I was up to 373. I thought, "That's o.k I'm going to walk about two miles tomorrow through the parade." I walked, worked up a good sweat, even had to run a ways at one point to catch up. When I got home I ate two bowls of chili - late. I weighed Sunday and NO CHANGE!! This made me pretty depressed so what did I do? What any respectable dieter would do... I ate two honey buns and some powdered doughnuts. After that I was "good" then at lunch I had three and 1/2 tacos LOADED!! I didn't eat anything else the rest of the day, though I did have some homemade hot chocolate. So I woke up today and weighed and here's my chart for this week...

The BIG Weigh-In Month 4 Week 1

Proverbs 27:17 - "Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend."
Well... I didn't reach my goal, but I did manage to lose 2 pounds this past week. It was pretty hard, as it always is for me during the holidays. I have however discovered a way to multi task. I have, for the past couple of days now, walked while reading my Bible. I make sure to keep up a good pace. I have seen enough walking and exercise videos to remember several steps so I walk and have devo's at the same time. I also hold a small tape recorder and when I want "notations" I simply record them and then some time later I will go listen to my notes and there I have it. Bible study - good for the soul, exercise - good for the body. Actually the Bible when applied is good for EVERY aspect of life body, soul, and spirit. Here is my chart for this past week.
