Change

"I need to make changes in my life." Have you ever said that? I know I have, recently. I have wondered HOW to go about making the needed changes. Do I just Start from scratch? Is that even possible? Do I make small changes and make a complete overhaul over time? Do i just accept where I am and just enjoy life? But then HOW do you enjoy life when you know changes need to be made? You can't. As I have been considering what to do, I think I will make small changes and work to make progress slowly, but surely. 1st change I am going to make has nothing to do with weight loss, but I will clean my office. This is actually quit a statement. My "Office" at home is not even usable and hasn't been for about...1 year? maybe a little longer. yea, I know, that's bad. Like I said it is a change that is a small change that will help me make other bigger changes in my life.

UPDATE!!!

I stepped on the scale and was delighted to see that I had lost 1/5 a pound. I went from 367.5 to 367. I am now 9 pounds from my goal this week. I did not exercise, I ate my kids left overs, and I had seconds. I think I will simply try to do one thing at a time... I will not eat any of my kids left overs. There it is, I know this can be done. It's a small step in the right direction.

I received a message from one of my blog readers, that basically laid it all out there for me. He made one clear observation. I have not gotten very far in my war on weight. He is absolutely correct. He then continued to offer me a diet plan to try for 30 days. It will take discipline, hard work, and focus. I wrote him back and told him that I would take him up on this diet plan. We'll see what happens. I will try to start this new plan Monday. Oh yeah I will be keeping you all updated. It may be a great way to give me a boost in my efforts to lose weight. Here's the plan laid out for me:

You can eat: lean meats, veggies, eggs, legumes, a little bit of nuts (almonds and walnuts), and a little bit of fruit (preferably after exercise)

You can't eat: grains, cereals, breads, starches, dairy, or any kind of processed sugar (anything besides fruit that has sugar in it)
