Today I will step on the scale to reevaluate my weight loss goals for this year. I will not be able to report my weight until tomorrow because I will not be weighing until after this post.
Ephesians 5:16 tells us to redeem the time. Time is something will continue to be used up whether we like it or not. We cannot reverse time, we cannot slow time, and we cannot stop time. It doesn't matter ho hard we try we cannot get younger. We must realize that the older we get the harder it will be to lose the weight and to stay healthy. Our bodies will inevitably wear down - and that more quickly for those of us are overweight. I do NOT want to only give God my twilight years. I want to give Him my all, my best, and the most of what I have to offer - which "ain't" much. How can I give God my best when I am too winded to preach my best, too tired to knock on doors, and have enough energy to "GO". The great commission is one of action! "Go ye into all the world..." It is my experience -personally- that a fat person cannot GO. It is time, if you find yourself as I am, overweight, to redeem the time and decide NOW to give God our BEST.
